3 Power Stations that will make your time outdoors more convenient

Power for Every Adventure and situation

Imagine a power station that not only meets but exceeds your outdoor power needs. Ensuring that everything from your portable fridge to your camping lights stays powered up. Whether you’re planning a weekend camping trip or a cross-country road trip, these power stations can be your reliable companion.

The three I have selected:

Portable Power Stations

What do you need a power station for?

So for starters – are you fine with MRE (Meals Ready to Eat)bags and sitting by a fire then maybe this not so much for you. But if you want to bring real food that needs to be kept cold and cold drinks, take your portable fridge with you and power it with the power station.

Connect the Power Station to some Portable Solar Panels and you have free power

But why stop there, take your coffee maker with you and make your favourite cup of coffee too. Then you can bring your air fryer and really step it up a bit

Wanna use your laptop for work when you are away

Even if you are in an RV or camper then the leisure battery may not be big enough to handle a load for a long period of time. And the leisure battery has other important functions to power up, like the lights and control functions. Water pumps and heating control for example

Use power from your power station instead and you can drain it however you want. It is Portable enough to take it with you home when you don’t go out for a while.

To think about is also that it has all the USB outlets you need, for example 100W USB-C for charging your laptop without adapter. Only bring the cord.

Here is some calculations of a computer taking 300W

Jackery Explorer 1500 Pro

  • Capacity: 1512Wh

  • Running Time: 1512Wh / 300W ≈ 5.04 hours

EcoFlow Delta 2 Max

  • Capacity: 2048Wh

  • Running Time: 2048Wh / 300W ≈ 6.83 hours

Bluetti AC180

  • Capacity: 1152Wh

  • Running Time: 1152Wh / 300W ≈ 3.84 hours

But I have a big Leisure battery, or?

In that case its great but how much power do you really have compared to a power station?

Let’s say you have 2 AGM batteries at 95Ah, the recommendation is to use them down to 50% and don’t go below that. You have 95Ah to work with. So you can power something that takes 95A for an hour, but how many Wh is 95Ah?

To make it simple use this formula:
 = 1140Wh

So all of the power stations I have mentioned are more than a 100Ah leisure battery

What about the air fryer?

First of all – you need an air fryer that is below the max AC output of your power station. About 1500W is perfect – amazon link here, PHILIPS 3000 Series Air Fryer

To determine which power station can run an air fryer (which takes 1500W) the longest, you need to look at the watt-hour (Wh) capacity of each power station. Here’s a comparison:

Jackery Explorer 1500 Pro

  • Capacity: 1512Wh

  • Running Time: 1512Wh / 1500W ≈ 1.01 hours

EcoFlow Delta 2 Max

  • Capacity: 2048Wh

  • Running Time: 2048Wh / 1500W ≈ 1.37 hours

Bluetti AC180

  • Capacity: 1152Wh

  • Running Time: 1152Wh / 1500W ≈ 0.77 hours

Summary:

  • EcoFlow Delta 2 Max:

  • Jackery Explorer 1500 Pro:

  • Bluetti AC180:

Approximately 1.37 hours

Approximately 1.01 hours

Approximately 0.77 hours
